Fika captures the Swedish coffee‑break tradition and turns it into a head‑to‑head duel. Each player runs a tiny street café and tries to out‑earn the rival by arranging cards that represent drinks, pastries and customers. A round consists of two phases: first you set the primary and secondary suit colors that will affect card abilities; then both players simultaneously select a card from their hand, place it face‑down, reveal together and insert it into their café respecting initiative order. Every card carries a specific objective; at round end you scan your café from left to right, check which requirements are met and tally the coins earned. Group cards can double or triple a card’s reward depending on which half points toward you. The player with the most coins wins the round and receives a Tip card, and the first to collect two Tips wins the game. The compact 20‑minute playtime, pattern‑building, set‑collection and simultaneous‑action mechanics create a deduction‑heavy yet luck‑free experience. All components are printable cards, making set‑up a breeze and perfect for two‑player sessions. The only hitch is the need for a translated card set for non‑English speakers, but the fun of building your café and sharing a virtual fika makes it worth the extra step.
