Check out this modern and slightly wacky take on a Scandinavian classic! In Five Cucumbers, the goal is the opposite of what you're used to in trick-taking games: you WANT to lose the last round, or rather, you DON'T want to win the final trick! Sounds easy? That's where the game gets you!
Each turn, the play is tense: you can play a card equal to or higher than the previous one to take the trick, or, if you can't do that, you're forced to play your lowest card. And don't think just keeping a low card for the end is enough, no! You'll need high cards to control important tricks along the way. Whoever wins the seventh and final trick, my friend, is in trouble and will have to eat cucumbers. At the end of each round, cucumbers are tallied. If someone collects more than five, bye-bye, you're eliminated! That's the idea: eliminate players until only two are left to compete for the title of "who lost best." It's a fast game, with matches lasting no more than 25 minutes, perfect for groups of 2 to 6 people who enjoy a twist and a different challenge. The complexity is low, ideal for those starting out or wanting something light to unwind.

What is the main objective of Five Cucumbers?
The objective is precisely NOT to win the last trick of the round. Whoever wins, gets cucumbers and risks elimination!
How many people can play?
The game is for 2 to 6 players, so you can play as a duo or with a group.
How long does a game take?
Very quickly! A game takes about 25 minutes to finish.
Is it a difficult game to learn?
Not at all! The rules are very simple and straightforward, perfect for beginners or those wanting something light.
What happens if I get eliminated?
If you accumulate more than five cucumbers, you are out of the round. The last two players continue competing for victory.
Is there a lot of player interaction?
Yes! The trick-taking dynamic and the elimination create constant interaction, with that 'who's going to mess up?' flavor.
