About the game
You know those classic card games that everyone learns in five minutes but still create that delicious tension at the table? Fool! is exactly that. Based on the traditional Foppen, it brings a trick-taking dynamic with a very mischievous twist. The goal here is simple: be the first to get rid of all your cards. Sounds easy, right? That's where the trap lies.

Unlike many trick-taking games where you desperately want to win every round, the strategy in Fool! is more subtle. You don't necessarily need to win every trick, but you must ensure you play a card in every turn. The real nightmare happens when you play the worst card of the round. If that happens, congratulations: you've been 'fooled'! The penalty is harsh: you are forced to pass the next round without playing anything. This means that while everyone else is discarding cards and getting closer to victory, you're just sitting there, watching and accumulating frustration while your hand remains full.

This dynamic creates a game of risk and quick calculation. You try to play the lowest card possible to get rid of it, but without being the worst player at the table.
