About the game

What you do in a play session

Ever experienced an RPG-style duel where reading your opponent's mind is just as important as your strategy? That is exactly the vibe of For the Crown. It is a fast-paced,-two-player-only card game where the goal is simple: reduce your opponent's 10 HP to zero before they do the same to you.

What makes this game stand out is the level of information you have. Unlike many card games where the opponent's hand is a mystery, here, you know exactly what cards your opponent is holding. This shifts the gameplay from pure luck to a psychological battle of timing and misdirection. You aren't guessing what they have; you are guessing *when* they will use it.

Every round, players secretly select a card and reveal them simultaneously. These cards can deal damage, heal, or block incoming hits. However, there is a twist: the Action Queue. When you play a card, it doesn's just go back into your hand; it enters a queue and stays out of play for three-turns. This-adds a layer of long-term-planning. You might want to land a heavy-hitting-attack now, but if you do, you might be left defenseless for the next few rounds while that card is 'cooling down'.

It is a game of constant-calculation and bluffing. You have to manage your hand, anticipate their moves, and time your-defenses perfectly. If you enjoy snappy-duels, high-stakes-decisions, and games that reward tactical-thinking over-random-luck, this is a must-play. It is a tight,-unforgiving-experience that rewards players who can think two steps ahead while managing their most-powerful-tools.
