Fresco: Big Box

In Fresco: Big Box each player becomes a Renaissance master painter tasked with restoring a fresco in a church. At the start of every round you decide what time to wake up; rising early puts you earlier in the turn order and guarantees access to the best options, but it makes your apprentices grumpy, lowering their efficiency. Then you assign apprentices to various tasks: buying paint, mixing colors, working on the fresco, earning money by painting portraits (needed to purchase paint), and even sending the crew to the opera to boost morale. The main goal is to score points by completing sections of the fresco, which requires specific paint combinations, so resource management and racing for the right pigments are key. The box contains the original Fresco game, all expansions released up to 2012, and the full second‑wave expansion (modules 8, 9 and 10). You can play the core alone for a lighter family game or add one, two, or all expansions to increase strategic depth and difficulty.
