Ever felt that tension from chase movies where the villain is right on your heels, but you've still got one last trick up your sleeve? That's exactly what Fugitive delivers. Set in the Burgle Bros universe, the game pits two players in an intense and fast-paced psychological duel. On one side, we have the Fugitive, desperate to escape town and reach their goal. On the other, the Agent, an unstoppable force who won't rest until the target is captured.
The dynamics are simple yet cruel: the Fugitive plays cards face down on the table, carving out a secret path toward their escape. The Agent, meanwhile, must use logic, intuition, and deduction to guess what those cards are and flip them over. If the Agent manages to turn all the cards face up, the Fugitive is caught, and justice prevails. If the Fugitive completes their journey without being fully exposed, they escape and leave the agent in the dust.
What makes the experience compelling is the hand management and the ability to bluff. The Fugitive isn't just trying to flee; they are trying to mislead the Agent, creating false leads or confusing paths. The Agent, on the other hand, needs a sharp memory and a cool head to avoid falling for the traps. With games lasting between 5 and 20 minutes, it's the perfect choice for those 'I have a little bit of free time' moments or as an appetizer before a longer gaming session. It's a pure cat-and-mouse game where information is the most valuable currency, and a single miscalculation can mean the difference between prison and freedom.
