Ever thought about managing the first luxury resort in space? In Galactic Cruise, you step into the shoes of a supervisor for a visionary company turning interstellar travel into unforgettable vacations. The goal is straightforward, but the competition is fierce: the current CEO is retiring in three years, and the top-performing supervisor will take over the helm. To achieve this, you'll need to balance building spacecraft, keeping guests happy, and expanding the company's corporate network.
The gameplay centers around worker placement with different worker types. On your turn, you can position a worker to take actions within the network, launch a space shuttle to send tourists into the cosmos, or recall your earthbound staff to collect funding bonuses. The options are diverse: you can acquire blueprints, construct ships, or build connections between locations, which increases your action options as the game progresses.
An interesting twist is the player interaction. While it's a competition, one supervisor's actions can often make another's job easier, creating a 'coopetition' dynamic. Additionally, you'll need to keep an eye on the resource markets, which ebb and flow based on everyone's actions. The game ends when the company's progress track reaches its limit, filled by progress cubes earned by launching ships or completing corporate goals. The player with the most Victory Points will be crowned the new CEO. Do you have the strategic mind and cold calculation needed to dominate galactic tourism, or will you be left orbiting Earth?
