About the game
What you do in a play session
In Gloomies, you dive into the universe of these adorable space creatures who have a peculiar passion for galactic flowers. Your main goal is to help these little beings cultivate and later harvest these radiant blossoms to adorn their homes and themselves. The game is divided into two distinct but interconnected phases that dictate the rhythm of your strategy. In the first half, the focus is on planting: you play cards to strategically place flowers in rows on the board, aiming to create combos and set yourself up for generous bonuses. Every move here is an investment for the future, as the cards you discard in this phase become your deck for the second part of the game. It's a clever twist that forces you to think ahead! When the cultivation phase ends, the harvest begins. With the deck you 'built' in the previous phase, your objective now is to harvest flowers from the rows, again seeking the best bonuses and opportunities. With each successful harvest, you get closer to victory. At the end of the game, points are tallied based on the flowers you managed to harvest and, of course, the Gloomie decoration orders you completed. It's a game that combines planning, adaptability, and a super cute theme!
