About the game
What you do in a play session
In Gonzaga, you step into the shoes of a member of the Gonzaga family, who ruled part of northern Italy for nearly 500 years. The goal is to expand your domains across Europe by building fiefs and conquering cities and harbors. The game lasts 7 to 12 rounds, and in each one, you choose a region and a secret action, revealing them simultaneously with the other players. Your fief cards determine where you can build, and the actions define the type of construction. You score points by covering cities and harbors, connecting harbors in a sea, and even donating fiefs to the church. The game ends after 12 rounds or when a specific trigger is reached, and the winner is the one with the most points, including secret objectives.
