About the game
What you do in a play session
GoTown is a fast‑paced, mischievous card game that throws everyone into a race to build the tallest tower. Each player gets a deck of cards representing floors, guard dogs, donut food trucks and other special actions. The goal? Assemble a five‑story tower before anyone else does. Each story consists of two floor cards placed side‑by‑side, so you must match pieces while defending your construction. The fun comes from the Take‑That cards: you can steal floors, demolish parts of an opponent's tower, or deploy a guard dog to block attacks. There’s also the infamous donut food‑truck that forces everyone to take a break, giving you extra time to climb. Games run about 20 minutes and have an almost nil learning curve, making them ideal for casual gamers or as a lively filler between heavier titles. While the mechanics are simple, the constant player interaction sparks laughs, tension, and a dash of real‑estate ego drama. It’s a great pick for fans of highly interactive card games who don’t need deep strategy, perfect for 2‑4 players.
