In Hansa, each player steps into the shoes of a merchant of the famed Hanseatic League, trying to turn Scandinavia's sea lanes into profit pipelines. The board is a stripped‑down map of Scandinavia, with point‑to‑point arrows that define the routes your ship may travel. On your turn you take command of the vessel, pay the movement cost to reach a city, then choose to buy goods, sell what you carry, or expand your market by establishing a trading post. Cities offer varied buying and selling options, and the more cities you control the more income you generate each round, which funds further voyages. Victory points come from assembling sets of goods, but getting there requires juggling goods collection, market expansion, and the limited pool of action points that restrict how many moves or actions you can take per turn. The game blends Action Points, Point‑to‑Point Movement, Pick‑up and Deliver, Set Collection and Income mechanics into a roughly 60‑minute experience perfect for 2‑4 players who enjoy light strategic depth and a historic flavor. Components feature wooden pieces and a sturdy map, giving a tactile sense of sailing the Baltic Sea in the medieval era.
