About the game
Harald is a card game that blends strategy, diplomacy, and a touch of medieval humor. Each turn, you perform three actions: play a card in the King’s Council, play another in your village, and then draw cards. The goal is to amass cards in your village that match those in the Council to score points, but beware: each Council character has a special condition that can swing the game in your favor or against you. Hand Management forces you to choose wisely when to use your cards, while Open Drafting makes the card market competitive from the start. If you enjoy influence games where majority and bargaining are key, Harald will surprise you. The anthropomorphic animal theme and Viking vibe give it a unique charm, and its Danish origin adds a touch of cultural authenticity. In short, Harald is a 30‑minute experience that mixes quick tactical decisions with a fun, slightly political setting. Adjust your strategy based on the cards that appear and try to dominate the King’s Council before the others do.
