About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a dive into World War II with Hit the Beach! This game plunges you into the heat of the Pacific campaign, where you and your opponents race to reach the main Japanese HQ. The catch? The Japanese defense forces, represented by 14 pieces, are obstacles for everyone. When defeated, they redeploy, ready to slow down whoever is in their way. Each player commands 6 pieces: two Marines, two infantry soldiers, one naval landing support ship, and one strategic air support aircraft. On your turn, the die dictates your moves, but support pieces only move on a 6, ready to boost beach landings. The goal is to clear your colored beaches, which requires both support pieces and a Marine landing exactly on the defender. Once cleared, beaches remain open for all players. The mechanics echo classics like Malefiz, with a strategic twist and a race against time and opponents. It's a race for victory, but be careful not to become an obstacle for your own allies!
