About the game
Hitster: Guilty Pleasures drops the beat for an instant party. The game kicks off when the DJ opens the free app, scans the first card and lets Spotify blast the hit. Players (2‑10) each have a timeline in front of them and, taking turns, try to slot the new song in the right spot – oldest on the left, newest on the right. If they place it correctly they keep the card; a wrong guess means discard, unless another player has already placed a Hitster token on that exact spot. The goal is straightforward: the first to line up ten correctly placed hits earns the title of Hitster for the night. With over 300 tracks spanning a hundred years, even non‑experts can enjoy guessing whether a song came before or after the ones already on the table. For a tougher experience, Pro and Expert rules demand the exact year, artist and title. The game also supports team or solo play, turning a round into a karaoke session or a personal memory test. Rules are breezy, setup is virtually nil, and a 30‑minute playtime fits perfectly between drinks. In short, Hitster blends musical deduction, friendly competition and a hefty dose of nostalgia, all wrapped in a card game that only needs a smartphone and a willingness to sing along.
