About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a burst of color! Holi: Festival of Colors transports you to the vibrant Indian festival, where the goal is to spread colorful powder and joy. Each round, you'll use cards to plan how to launch your 'gulal' (colored powder) across the board, aiming to cover as many areas and other players as possible. Think carefully about your move, because hitting the higher tiers earns more points, and covering your opponents also counts! It's a game that blends abstract strategy with a dash of puzzle, where you need to manage your cards and anticipate others' moves. With slightly different scoring conditions each game, the fun never gets monotonous. Featuring a tiered board and a super cheerful theme, Holi is a great choice for those who enjoy quick, visually striking games with that friendly rivalry that makes everything more fun. Prepare for a festival of colors and fun that lasts about 30 minutes, perfect for playing with friends or family. It's pure strategy with a touch of colorful chaos!

What is the minimum recommended age for playing Holi?

It's generally recommended for ages 8 and up, as the rules and strategy are suitable for this age group.

How long does a game of Holi typically last?

A game usually takes between 20 and 40 minutes, making it a great option for those short on time.

Is Holi a game for kids or adults?

Holi is a game that appeals to both kids and adults. The theme is fun for younger players, and the strategy can be appreciated by more experienced gamers.

Does the tiered board have a special function?

Yes! The board's tiers represent different 'heights' from which you can launch the powder. Covering the upper tiers is worth more points, adding a strategic layer to the game.
