About the game
Picture yourself in Jerusalem, 33 AD, during the height of spring. The city is buzzing, crowds are gathering at the gates, and the air is thick with anticipation. In Ierusalem: Anno Domini, you aren't just a bystander; you lead one of the communities of Jesus of Nazareth's followers, striving to secure a prominent place in history. The ultimate goal? To get as close as possible to the table of the Last Supper. That's right: the nearer your followers can sit to Jesus and the apostles, the more victory points your community will secure.

But don't think it's just a matter of showing up and sitting down. The path to the table requires masterful strategy. You'll need to dispatch your followers to locations like the market, the desert, the mountain, the lake, or the temple to gather essential resources such as bread, fish, stones, and denarii. However, the true heart of the game beats through the cards. Each card features symbols corresponding to the board's locations, and it is through clever combinations that you can bring the apostles to the table and position your people in the best seats.

As you work to manage your hand of cards and optimize your resources, the clock is ticking. The Sanhedrin is not exactly thrilled with all this commotion, and the religious authorities' patience is wearing thin. As the patience marker advances, the game marches toward its climax. You'll have to balance collecting parables and offering tokens with the urgent need to occupy the right spaces on the grid. It is a game of tactical positioning, resource management, and, above all, a race against time to ensure your community is remembered during history's most pivotal moment. If you enjoy games with powerful themes and worker placement mechanics that demand strategic thinking, get ready for an immersive and challenging experience!
