If you love sharing good stories and want to get to know your friends better (or even those new acquaintances), 'It's Kind of a Fun Story' is the perfect game for that! It's a super casual party game where the idea is to tell stories, match crazy descriptions, and even 'steal' cards from each other to accumulate points and, of course, have a blast. The game starts with everyone taking 'Nope' and 'Hear Me Out' cards, and the main deck is shuffled. Each round, you draw a card and follow its instructions. There are four types of cards, but the 'Story Cards' are the most valuable. When you draw one, you answer a personal question, like 'what was your least favorite job?' or 'who was your arch-nemesis growing up?'. If the story is only yours, the card is yours! But be prepared, because other players can use their 'Hear Me Out' cards to tell their own version and compete for the points. Then a vote happens to decide who wins. There are also 'Left or Right' cards, where you choose who best fits the description, 'Point a Finger' cards, where everyone votes, and 'Everybody Answers' cards, with quick answers and another vote. A cool detail is the 'Nope' card: if the conversation gets uncomfortable, just hold it up and the story stops immediately, with no penalty. The idea is for everyone to feel comfortable. The first player to reach 7 points wins. With 320 cards, the fun and stories are practically endless! Oh, and if you want to play with family, you can remove the more 'adult-rated' content cards.
