About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a party game that'll make you think outside the box and maybe even get a few laughs! In Pluckin' Pairs, the goal is to connect images in a way nobody else thought of. Imagine 11 images spread out on the table, and each of you has to create creative pairs: a coin and a manhole cover because they're round? A mirror and a building because of the reflection? Imagination is the limit! Each round, you secretly jot down your pairs, and one image is left out as the 'outcast.' Then, the magic happens: everyone reveals their connections. If nobody else had the same brilliant idea as you, or if everyone did, your points go down the drain. The real score comes from matching a pair that only a few players came up with! The more people who thought like you (but not everyone!), the more points you earn. You can even score extra points by guessing which image was the outcast for most players. The objective is to rack up the most points after a few rounds and be crowned the master of unusual connections. It's a fast-paced game that stimulates creativity and your perception of how other minds work (or don't work!). Perfect for livening up any gathering with friends and family, it's uncomplicated and guarantees a lot of fun.

7 questions
How many people can play Pluckin' Pairs?
The game is designed for 3 to 8 players, but it really shines with more people involved!
How long does a game take?
A game is quite quick, usually around 50 minutes.
Do I need to be a genius to play?
Not at all! The rules are super simple. The challenge is more about creativity and trying to guess what others will think.
Is this a game for kids?
It depends on the child's age and creativity. For younger ones, it might be a bit abstract, but with an adult guiding, it can be fun.
What happens if nobody else connects the images like I do?
Then your points for that connection go out the window! The fun is precisely in matching a pair that some, but not all, players had.

Is it a competitive or cooperative game?
It's competitive! Everyone for themselves trying to score the most points, but the fun comes from seeing the connections others create.
