About the game
What you do in a play session
Know that moment when the gang gathers, the conversation is flowing, but you need something to boost the table's energy? Kaleidos is exactly that 'omething.' Get ready for a pure observation challenge that will test how fast your brain can process images and letters simultaneously. This is a classic observation game that keeps everyone on their toes. The setup is super practical: each player (or team, if you're playing with a partner) receives their own set of ten detailed illustrations. Forget the chaos of everyone trying to peek at their neighbor's board; here, everyone has their own cardboard easel to prop up their scenes, ensuring everyone has a perfect view. The game works through quick 60-second rounds. Each round, a card is revealed with a specific letter. Your goal? Look at your illustrations and write down as many objects as possible that start with that letter. But watch out: no repeats! If you write 'ball' and then 'baseball,' and both start with the same letter, you can only use the word once to score. On the other hand, a single object can help you with different words, as long as the words themselves are distinct. When time is up, comes the best part: the scoring! You compare lists, and scoring is based on exclusivity. If an object you found is also on someone else's list, it's worth only 1 point. However, if you found something that no one else saw, congratulations! You get 3 points for that unique item. The game proceeds through 12 different scenes, and at the end, whoever has accumulated the most total points is the master observer. It's a fast-paced game, perfect for those who love testing their mental reflexes and having a great laugh while searching for that one hidden detail amidst all the visual information.
