About the game
Imagine being in 52 BC, at the height of the siege of Alesia. On one side, we have Julius Caesar's army, a master of siege strategies; on the other, the Gallic tribes led by Vercingetorix, desperately trying to find a safe refuge to regroup their forces. In Le Mura di Alesia, you aren't just a spectator of history; you are a protagonist in one of antiquity's most ingenious sieges. Each player takes on the role of a Roman Legatus sent by Caesar with a critical mission: oversee the construction of the massive fortifications surrounding the city.

The challenge is twofold, requiring a fine balance between strategy and survival. You'll need to manage your resources to hire the necessary workers and decide, for each section of the walls, which tactic is best: investing in immediate advantages through palisades or building sturdy towers that will guarantee strategic benefits in the long run. It's a constant race against time and your opponent's efficiency.

But don't think it's just a construction competition. While you try to outdo your rival to earn Caesar's prestige, the chaos of war comes knocking. During the game, two coordinated Gallic assaults will occur. In these moments of tension, competition gives way to the need for cooperation: players must work together to mitigate the damage caused by enemy attacks, preventing total disaster. Once the second great assault concludes, whoever has accumulated the most prestige in Caesar's eyes emerges victorious. It's a fast-paced, tense game, perfect for fans of historical themes with agile card mechanics!
