About the game
What you do in a play session
Schotten Totten 2 brings the same addictive fun as its predecessor, but flips the tables by making one player the attacker and the other the defender. In each game the attacker tries to breach the defender’s walls by assembling card formations across seven spots on the battlefield. Players play cards numbered 0‑11 in five colors, plus a handful of tactical cards, into the slots. Each slot can hold two to four cards, and the strength of a formation is judged like poker hands: pairs, three‑of‑a‑kind, straights, flushes, and full houses. The defender gets three hot‑oil tokens that can wipe out the attacker’s cards whenever his formation wins a spot. If the attacker can’t take all the positions, or if the defender uses the oil wisely, the game can swing in either direction. The 70‑card deck is balanced with numbers and colors, and the tactical cards add surprise twists that can turn the tide. The “hand management” mechanic forces you to decide when to play each card, while the “set collection” mechanic rewards whoever builds the strongest combinations. A quick 20‑minute game that works only for two players, it’s perfect for a dinner‑time showdown or for anyone who wants a fast, strategic duel without the fluff. The components are simple: a well‑printed deck, oil tokens, and a small board. Though it’s set in Scotland, there’s no language barrier—everything is in colors and numbers. If you love bluff‑heavy card games with a dash of humor, Schotten Totten 2 will surprise you with a fresh, ever‑shifting battle. It’s ideal for couples, friends, or anyone who likes to test prediction and timing skills in a competitive, yet light‑hearted environment.
