About the game

What you do in a play session

In Let's Make a Bus Route: The Dice Game, you take on the role of a bus company member, tasked with creating the best routes by drawing lines on a map. Your goal is to satisfy the needs of a diverse clientele – from tourists and university students to the elderly and parents with children – all while managing traffic and avoiding congestion. Who will be the logistics master capable of charting the most efficient and profitable route?

The game unfolds over 24 rounds, split equally between players as the starting player. When it's your turn to start, you roll six white dice and choose three to use, leaving one of the remaining three for the other player. With the dice results, you use an erasable pen to mark spots on the game board, extending your bus route, picking up, and dropping off passengers. Special bonuses allow you to re-roll dice or add an extra black die for more options. In the end, after deducting penalties for traffic and other conditions, the player with the most points is the grand winner.

The game comes with two distinct maps to keep the experience fresh: the City Map, where you need to navigate rivers and bridges that limit your route options; and the Mars Map, which offers the fun mechanic of 'warping' between map corners, allowing for long and creative routes. Let's Make a Bus Route: The Dice Game also includes a robust solo mode, where you play twice on the same map with different colored markers. The challenge here is to avoid using the same roads in the second game, as this generates traffic and negative points. How well can you keep your routes separate to cover the most ground and make the most passengers happy?
