About the game
Ever played a fast-paced card game that seems simple until someone steals your best move? That's exactly what happens in Linko! (also known as Abluxxen). The goal is straightforward: play as many cards of the same value as possible to score points at the end. But there's a catch: if you play three 5s, and the next player plays three 8s, they've just 'abluxxed' you! This means they snatch your cards into their hand, and you're forced to refill your hand from the deck or the open display.

The game utilizes a deck of 104 numbered cards (1-13) and five jokers, which are the trump cards since they outrank everything. Everyone starts with 13 cards, and the tension ramps up as the deck dwindles. The core dilemma is the risk-reward balance: stealing cards is a great way to disrupt your opponents, but be careful! Ending the game with a hand full of cards will penalize your final score.

The game ends immediately when the deck runs out or a player manages to play all their cards. Then comes the scoring phase: every card on the table earns you one point, while every card remaining in your hand subtracts one point. It's all about hand management and timing. If you're too greedy and steal too much, you might end up with a negative score. If you're too cautious, you'll watch your friends build a mountain of points. It's the perfect blend of light strategy and 'I can't believe you did that!' moments that make game nights memorable.
