Imagine you are the mayor of a fertile valley, and your mission is to transform a small settlement into the most prosperous city in the region. In Little Town, you lead a team of architects and carpenters to gather wood, stone, wheat, and fish, turning these resources into impressive buildings. The dynamics are clever: when you place a worker on the board, you don't just collect the resource from that specific space, but from all eight surrounding squares. It's a game of pure strategic positioning!
But it's not just about collecting and building. Where you place your building makes all the difference, as building effects are triggered when someone places a worker next to them. This is where it gets tricky: if you use an opponent's building to gain a bonus, you must pay a coin to the owner. In other words, you can create powerful combos for yourself or end up funding your friend's victory if you don't plan carefully.
The game lasts four rounds, and the tension rises because you must feed your crew. If you forget to feed your workers at the end of the round, prepare to lose precious victory points. Additionally, there are asymmetric missions and secret goals that add an extra spice, forcing you to adapt your strategy in every game. With a double-sided board and randomly selected buildings, no two games are the same. The winner will be the one who knows how to balance construction, economy, and goal completion to accumulate the highest score. Can you manage your little town without letting anyone go hungry?

Is the game complex? Is it suitable for beginners?
It's a light-weight game (around 2/5), making it great for hobby beginners or those wanting a quick game without reading a 50-page manual.
How long does a game last?
Usually between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the number of players and their experience.
How many people can play?
From 2 to 4 players. It works well in all counts, but with 4 players, the fight for board space becomes more intense.
Is the game language dependent?
Moderately. Some cards and goals might need translation for non-English speakers, but the mechanics are intuitive.
What happens if I don't feed my workers?
You lose 3 victory points for each hungry worker, which could potentially cost you the game!
