About the game
What you do in a play session
Loot Box #1 is a supplemental pack from Board&Dice designed to spice up several of its titles. Inside you’ll find challenge books, themed modules, and a handful of promotional goodies that add extra flavor to your sessions. For Teotihuacan: City of Gods, the Challenge Book offers six variants aimed at veteran players, each presenting a preset setup that highlights a particular gameplay aspect and often introduces special rules and victory conditions, raising the difficulty. In Tekhenu: Obelisk of the Sun, the box includes another Challenge Book (three variants) plus the Noble Buildings module, which gives each player a special building tile. Once per game you may place that tile beneath a building you construct and double the rewards. Tawantinsuyu: The Inca Empire receives its own Challenge Book with three variants, two of which were used in the 2021 Digital World Championship and are uniquely balanced for four players, while the third is a true hardcore test. Origins: First Builders brings two modules: Ophiuchus, letting you resolve a bonus action from an Encounter Site instead of a normal action, and The Voice, granting special powers to weaker (2‑ or 3‑value) Speaker dice. Zapotec gets the Quick Start module, dealing each player two random Quick Start cards to choose from, sometimes even enabling a simple Capital action on turn one. The box also contains a QR code for immersive audio intros to Escape Tales, four custom scoring markers, and a first‑player marker for Mandala Stones. Overall, Loot Box #1 delivers deeper challenges, fresh strategies, and a few nice extras for fans of the Board&Dice line.
