About the game
In Lucky Numbers, your goal is to be the first to fill your 4x4 grid with tiles numbered 1 to 20, but luck and strategy must go hand in hand! Each player starts with an empty grid and four initial tiles, placed diagonally in ascending order. Each round, you have a crucial decision: draw a face-down tile from the general pile or take a face-up tile that someone else has discarded. With the tile in hand, you can place it in an empty space on your grid, swap it for a tile already there (discarding the old one), or simply discard it. The trick? The tiles in your grid must follow a strict rule: each number must be greater than the numbers immediately above and to its left, and smaller than the numbers immediately below and to its right. It sounds simple, but every decision counts to avoid gridlock! The first to complete their 16-tile grid wins. And if the draw pile runs out, the player with the most valid tiles on their board wins. If you want to take the competition seriously, the game offers a tournament mode, and the 2020 edition even includes a solo mode with 40 puzzles for you to challenge your mind!
