About the game
What you do in a play session
Welcome to the thrilling world of competitive fishing in Lure! In this super dynamic game, you and your friends will transform into cunning anglers, vying to see who can reel in the most fish cards and, of course, accumulate the most victory points. The mechanics are simple yet full of tough decisions: to catch a fish, you need to roll your dice and beat the target number indicated on the card, as well as fulfill any specific requirements it might have. Whoever gets closest to the target (and meets all conditions) takes the fish home!
But here's the clever twist: before each round, players secretly bid on how many dice they will use. Want to be the first to play? Bidding fewer dice gives you that advantage, but using more dice can make catching that elusive fish much easier. It's quite a dilemma! Will you risk fewer dice and try to be aggressive, relying on luck and wit, or will you play it safe, betting that your opponents will overcommit? The tension is palpable with every secret bid and every dice roll. The game continues until the deck of fish cards runs out, and then, whoever has the most points is crowned the grand master of fishing! Lure is a fast, fun game that will make you think about every move, perfect for those who love a good competition with a touch of luck and plenty of strategy.
