About the game

What you do in a play session

If you are already a fan of Marvel United, get ready to take your table experience to the next level. The Campaign Decks is that Kickstarter exclusive content that transforms isolated sessions into epic, connected sagas. Forget the idea of simply defeating a villain and moving on to the next; here, your decisions matter, and the consequences of a battle can echo throughout your entire campaign.

The set brings eight thematic campaigns based on the most iconic comic book arcs, such as the 'Age of Apocalypse', 'War of Kings', and the classic 'Dark Phoenix Saga'. In total, there are 114 cards that dictate the pace of the story. In each campaign, you will face a series of 3 to 7 games. The real highlight here is the progression: your roster of heroes is not static. Depending on how events unfold, new allies may appear in the middle of combat, while others may become unavailable, forcing you to constantly adapt your strategy.

The start of each session is defined by a rule card that indicates the current villain, mandatory locations, and any special setup instructions. Some games require different play modes, such as Team vs Team or even Super Villain, which keeps the experience fresh. The back of these rule cards is where the magic happens: it lists triggers for events that can completely change the conditions for victory or defeat. If a villain completes a task or a hero is KO'd, an event is revealed, altering the rules of the current game or creating permanent effects for future chapters.

Losing a game does not necessarily mean the end of the line. The campaign system is smart enough to allow you to try again, perhaps with a handicap or extra help, but always carrying the weight of defeat on your shoulders. It is a highly immersive experience that rewards long-term planning and narrative dedication. If you love seeing the Marvel universe unfold on your table, with all the plot twists and surprises that only a good comic book can offer, this set is the ultimate 'must-have' to complete your United collection.
