Welcome to Globopharma®! Congratulations: you have been selected from thousands of desperate candidates to participate in the most ambitious clinical trial in modern history. Your mission is incredibly simple: swallow whatever we give you without asking questions. Don't panic if you feel your organs gradually liquefying; consider it a sign that the product is working! After all, for science, no sacrifice is too great — though we'd prefer it wasn't yours, of course. Grab a glass of water and remember: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger (or at least more tested!).
In Medok, the tension escalates with every dose. At the start, each patient receives a set of immunity and vitality cards, kept face up. At the beginning of each round, new Prescription cards are revealed, bringing effects that could be your best friend or your worst nightmare. Some cards are beneficial, but most will cause you some significant trouble. The real challenge is to stay focused and remember which effects have already been revealed and which are still hidden in the deck. To complicate (or help) things, there are Accessory cards, which allow you to help your friends or sabotage them to save yourself.
The gameplay is straightforward: on your turn, you must consume a Medok from the table and resolve its effect immediately. Your immunity absorbs the first hits; once it's gone, the damage goes straight to your vitality. The goal is pure survival: as everyone's health degrades round by round, patients are eliminated. The last survivor standing, the one who can withstand the ordeal until the end, is the great winner of this scientific experiment!
