How to Play Meeple Heist

Game Objective

In Meeple Heist, players take on the roles of expert teams planning a heist on the luxurious Meeple Castle Casino. The goal is to infiltrate the experts into the casino, complete their specific missions, and ensure they escape with as much money as possible. The game ends when all meeples enter the casino, and the team with the most stolen money is declared the winner.

Setup

To set up the game, follow the steps below:

1. Place the organizer mat in the center of the table and place the casino board in the designated area.
2. Organize the 4 stacks of Accusation cards according to the numbers on the backs (1 to 4) and place them in the magnifying glass areas on the mat.
3. Give each player 1 Reroll card and each team 1 Player Guide.
4. Place 2 or 3 Reroll cards in the corresponding area of the mat, depending on the number of teams.
5. Roll the 3 dice and place them in the casino rooms corresponding to the resulting symbols.
6. Organize the queue of meeples waiting to enter the casino, filling the first 4 spots with one meeple of each color and distributing the rest randomly.
7. Organize the stacks of Mission and Escape cards according to the colors on the backs and distribute 1 Mission card of each color to each team.

Game Flow

The game progresses in alternating turns between teams. On each turn, the team chooses between two main actions:

• Collaborate with the Plan: Move meeples through the casino using the dice.
• Prepare the Escape: Prepare the escape of an expert, ensuring they can escape with the money.

After each Collaborate with the Plan action, the dice are rolled again and repositioned on the board, and the first meeple in the queue enters the casino. The game ends when the last meeple enters the casino and there are no more dice on the board.

Actions and How to Play

The main actions available are:

• Collaborate with the Plan: Choose 1 or 2 dice on the board and activate the room or the color of the symbol shown on the die. Move meeples according to the chosen activation.
• Prepare the Escape: Choose an expert and place their Escape card in the team's Guide. This allows the expert to escape with the money at the end of the game.

Additionally, players can use Reroll cards to reroll dice during their turn.

End of Game and Scoring

The game ends when the last meeple enters the casino and there are no more dice on the board. Teams reveal their Mission cards and compare them to the prepared Escape cards. Only experts with prepared escapes contribute to the final score. Each meeple that completed their mission adds money to the team's total. The team with the most stolen money wins. In case of a tie, the team with the most Reroll cards wins.

Tips for Winning

• Do not prioritize rooms where opponents have minor advantages. Focus on moving meeples to rooms that will yield more money for your team.
• Preparing the escape of all experts is not a guarantee of victory. Use your turns to move meeples and prepare escapes only for experts who are in good scoring positions.
• Revealing your experts too early can give opponents an advantage. Knowing the right moment to prepare each escape is crucial for success.
