About the game

What you do in a play session

In Metrorunner, you dive into the underworld of Mirror City, a futuristic metropolis where survival and reputation depend on your cunning. As a skilled hacker, your goal is to stand out among other runners, seizing opportunities in a dystopian future while navigating the Metro line. This competitive game for 1 to 5 players combines worker movement and resource collection in a high-tech neon setting, featuring a tile-puzzle mini-game that adds an extra layer of challenge.

Your journey involves circling the districts of Mirror City, competing for resources and fulfilling contracts for ruthless mega-corporations. As you expand your influence and gain reputation, you'll need to extract credits from corrupt factions and, secretly, steal valuable data for your home district. Carefully plot your paths to avoid and cut off other runners, taking every opportunity to use your skills and upgrades to hack into network nodes. Manipulate the central tile grid, cleverly altering the pathways of an ever-changing puzzle to breach firewalls and secure your notoriety.

To consolidate your power, complete tricky jobs across the city, acquire black market tech, and spend your hard-earned credits wisely. Only then will you rise above the competition, earning a coveted place within Mirror City's power struggle. In the end, will your skill earn you the respect of the underworld, or will you just fade into obscurity?
