About the game
What you do in a play session
In Micropolis, you take on the role of an ant queen leading your colony in search of resources and expansion. The game unfolds in a shared anthill, built with tiles connected by tunnels, where each player seeks to optimize their section. Over ten rounds, players engage in an open draft to select tiles that will determine available actions and resources. The drafting order is determined by each player's army size, adding an interesting tactical layer. Do you want to grab the front tile or invest in ants to reach something better further down the line? That's the question!
The tiles offer various functions: Queens can improve the space they occupy, Nannies generate more ant soldiers, Architects allow you to take any tile for free, Warriors can attack the leading player, Generals assist in troop movement, and Fruit Gatherers secure bonus points based on the variety of fruits collected. At the end, each ant is worth one point, and the player with the largest army gets a 5-point bonus. Micropolis is a quick and accessible game, ideal for those seeking a light experience of territory building and set collection with a fun thematic touch of hardworking ants.
