Get ready to board Noah's Ark! In "Ark", you and your friends play as helpers tasked with ensuring all animals and supplies are loaded before the rain begins. But be careful, you can't just shove the animals in haphazardly! You'll need to consider the combinations: lions can't be placed near gazelles, or the latter will become a snack. Animals from cold and warm climates need separate accommodations to stay comfortable. And there's more: weight! Loading too many animals on one side can unbalance the Ark, making for a long and wet journey. The game uses cards with various animal characteristics (size, diet, climate, special abilities) and action discs. On each turn, you can draft cards from an open display or the supply pile, and then use these cards to place animals in the correct stalls. Each placed animal is worth victory points, and the goal is to optimize placement to earn bonuses at the end. The game concludes when the "Rain" card appears, and whoever has the best boarding strategy claims victory. It's a game that blends tile placement with set collection, requiring planning and a keen eye for animal cohabitation rules and logistics.
