About the game

What you do in a play session

Get your hook ready, because Captain Morgan has retired, but he left a magical mess behind! After a lifetime of raids, the old pirate tried to hide his loot by tearing his map into many pieces. However, a sorceress's curse turned this chaos into a magical guide that points to gold whenever the pieces are rearranged. Now, the race is on! You and your rival pirates are competing to see who can gather the fragments and find the riches before the map simply vanishes into thin air.

The gameplay is fast-paced and highly dynamic. The board is composed of 20 map tiles that you can manipulate. On your turn, you have the power to reshape the landscape: you can pick up a tile with a free edge and move it elsewhere, as long as the map stays connected and water stays adjacent to water. After tinkering with the map, it's time to move your pirate up to two spaces to reach the exact location indicated by your map cards. If you are at the correct distance from a landmark, like 'The Tomb' or 'Big Nose Bay', you can play the card and claim your treasure!

But don't think it's just about showing up and grabbing things. The secret lies in knowing when to play your cards and how to manage your bonuses. Each map card you play grants you an extra ability—like moving further or shifting more tiles—which you keep until the perfect moment. Treasures come in six different colors and are organized on a treasure board; the deeper you dive into this board, the more doubloons and valuable items you find. In the end, whoever has the highest balance of doubloons and the most treasures of each color will be the richest and most legendary pirate of the seven seas. It's quick, visual, and pure fun for anyone craving a maritime adventure!
