About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for an exciting climb in Mountain Goats! In this fast-paced and fun game, you and your friends compete to get your adorable goats to the top of six different mountains. The goal is simple: be the first to reach the summit and score points while staying there. But beware, the top of each mountain is exclusive! If another goat invades your spot, you'll be kicked off and have to start climbing again. It's a game of timing and strategy, where watching your opponents is as important as planning your own ascent. You need to not only reach the top but also choose the right moment to avoid being knocked off. The interaction is high, with the chance to oust rivals, but the game maintains a light tone, as being kicked off isn't a major setback, just part of the natural flow of the game. The main mechanic involves rolling dice and using the results to move your goats along numbered tracks (5 to 10) towards the summit. Successfully grouping dice to form the desired numbers allows you to advance or occupy a space. Collecting sets of victory points from different mountains can yield extra bonuses, making the race even more strategic. Mountain Goats is ideal for those seeking a light experience with a dash of luck and plenty of interaction, perfect for families and casual gamers who enjoy a good timing challenge and a cute theme.
