About the game

What you do in a play session

In Mughniyeh: Solo, you take command of a joint CIA-Mossad operation, tasked with hunting down Imad Mughniyeh, one of the world's most dangerous men. The story unfolds over 26 years and 14 turns, spanning six global regions. From crude truck bombs in 1982 Beirut to his assassination by spare-tire car bomb in Damascus in 2008, you are in a relentless pursuit of a target who moved through hostile capitals, changed identities, and enjoyed the protection of sovereign governments. He was never where you looked, and acting on that knowledge was always the harder problem. The game uses a three-layer card tableau across thirty city slots worldwide. Revealing locations costs operative dice. Resolving the CT-TCT link that each location conceals requires committing the right specialist at the right moment, and that window closes fast. The tension lives in the persistence system: as Mughniyeh’s network embeds deeper at each location, your intelligence picture sharpens at exactly the same rate. You cannot suppress the threat without feeding it. You cannot fund your operation without letting it grow. Unlike other AGENCY system titles, Mughniyeh actively fights back from its 28-card automa deck, which runs actions between your turns, relocating his network, escalating threats, and burying traps in the Aborted Deck of discards that will resurface at the worst possible moment. The longer a threat goes unresolved, the harder and more expensive it becomes to stop. Three things end the game: you complete the assassination chain and score your legacy; your political will collapses entirely; or the Ghost Crime Track hits The Reckoning. The clock is always running, the network is always growing, and you are always one bad turn behind. Mughniyeh: Solo is the second title in Only Child Digital’s AGENCY solo/co-op system—a 3-layer card tableau game system built around asymmetric card interactions, sleeve-state fog of war, and operative dice economy. Like all Agency titles, it plays anywhere and requires only poker-sized cards, standard six-sided dice, and single-sided card sleeves to run.
