About the game
What you do in a play session
Get your pot ready and sharpen your mushroom senses in Mushroom Sort! This super-fast card game is a delicious blend of set collection and deduction, with a Poker-like twist that will keep you thinking. The goal? To create the tastiest mushroom soup, of course! You'll be working with 32 cards, each featuring a color and a value from 1 to 8. The brilliant twist is that the mushroom's color is visible on the back of the card, giving you valuable clues to guess what your opponents are up to. At the start of each round, you'll receive some cards, choose one to play face down in the center, and keep the rest. Then, a draft kicks off where you'll grab cards from other players' tables, placing a token to mark your territory. The final token can go on a central card. After that, the chosen cards go into your hand, and the magic happens: you compare your hand with others, just like in Poker, looking for combinations like pairs, straights, or even a lovely mushroom Full House! Whoever has the strongest and second-strongest hand scores points. Play a number of rounds equal to the number of players, and the one with the highest total score at the end wins the title of Mushroom Master Chef!
Mushroom Sort is perfect for those who enjoy games with few rules but significant strategic depth. It's quick, engaging, and with each game, you'll learn a bit more about reading your friends. If you like games that mix luck and skill, with that good tension of a draft and the satisfaction of building the best combination, this game is for you. It's a great choice to warm up the evening or play quickly before a longer session. Prepare for a light experience, but with decisions that truly make a difference!
