About the game
In Okavango, the African savanna is suffering from drought, and the animals' thirst is a serious problem! As a dedicated ranger, your mission is crucial: group animals into strong herds and guide them to the fertile deltas of the Okavango River or to the few remaining waterholes. Each round, you and your fellow rangers compete to lead your animals to drink, earning valuable points. But it's not as simple as it sounds! At waterholes, you need to replace the existing herd with a group of the same animal type, but with an equal or greater number. If the number is the same, your animals need to have a higher hierarchical value. If you bring more animals, hierarchy doesn't matter. At river deltas, the rule changes: you must bring different types of animals and in greater numbers than those already there, without worrying about hierarchy. With limited water and animal resources, herd formation strategy and choosing the right drinking spot are essential. The player who best manages their herds and ensures they quench their thirst most efficiently, accumulating the most points, will be the victorious ranger at the end of the game!
