About the game

What you do in a play session

Pandoria drops you into the shoes of leaders from fantastical realms who, after a disaster, must start from scratch in a new land. The idea is for you and your crew to explore this new world by placing terrain tiles, like a giant puzzle, and then use your people to claim the resources that appear. The twist is that when a terrain is completely enclosed, those on the borders get the resources. This is where things get interesting: everyone can benefit, but the goal is to be the greediest! You use gold to buy cards that can be buildings (permanent advantages) or spells (one-time effects). Wood helps you build the buildings, and crystals activate the spells. If you have too many leftovers, you can convert them into prestige points, and some buildings even generate more points. In the end, whoever has the most prestige wins and becomes the most powerful nation of Pandoria! The game offers a streamlined version for beginners and advanced rules with asymmetrical player powers to add extra spice and make each realm unique. The second edition (2024) brought some visual and component updates, making everything more vibrant and with some rule and card improvements.
