About the game
Get ready to dive headfirst into the Abyss, because the city of Kenabres has been ravaged by demons and only you can save the day in *Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Wrath of the Righteous – Base Set*! This cooperative card game throws you directly into the epic 'Adventure Path' of Wrath of the Righteous, where your mission is to journey into the Abyss to kick some demonic butt, including that of the fearsome demon lord Deskari. Along the way, your characters will evolve from ordinary heroes into mythic legends, capable of rivaling the greatest names in Golarion.

In this base set, for 1 to 4 players, you choose from seven unique characters, each with their own playstyle. The magic happens in building your 'boon' deck, which grows and adapts to your choices and conquests. The more challenges you overcome, the more powerful your deck becomes. And the icing on the cake? The mythic card, which not only allows you to bend the game's rules to your advantage but also introduces the first 20-sided die in the *Pathfinder Adventure Card Game* series!

Inside the box, you'll find over 500 brand-new cards, featuring never-before-seen boons for your heroes, terrifying monsters, and barriers of pure abyssal essence. There are seven character classes, including the debut arcanist, cavalier, inquisitor, and summoner. Furthermore, the set comes with the 'Worldwound Incursion Adventure Deck,' a 110-card deck to kickstart your journey, and a complete set of six polyhedral dice. It's a cooperative strategy adventure that promises many hours of fun and hellish challenges!

Frequently Asked Questions
How many players can play and what's the average game time?
The game is designed for 1 to 4 players, and each scenario can take from 120 to 120 minutes. But remember, it's a campaign, so you'll spend many hours exploring!
Is it a very complex game for beginners?
It has a medium weight (3.09/5 on BGG), which means it has its layers of strategy and rules. It's not a 'filler,' but with a little dedication, even beginners to campaign games can get the hang of it.
Do I need to have played other Pathfinder Adventure Card Game titles to understand this one?
No! This is a 'Base Set,' so it serves as a complete entry point for the 'Wrath of the Righteous' campaign. If you've played others, you'll recognize some mechanics, but it's not a prerequisite.
What are the main components included in the box?
You'll find over 500 cards (including the 'Worldwound Incursion Adventure Deck'), seven unique characters, and a complete set of six polyhedral dice, including the first d20 in the series!
Does the game have a lot of English text? Is it playable without translation?
Yes, Ludopedia notes 'extensive language dependency.' There's a fair amount of text on the cards, so familiarity with English or using a translation (or fan-translation) is almost essential to enjoy the story and rules.
What's unique about this 'Base Set' compared to others in the series?
This set introduces the 'mythic heroes' mechanic, allowing your characters to gain absurd powers and even bend the game's rules. Plus, it's the first to include a 20-sided die, adding a new layer of excitement to rolls!
