About the game
What you do in a play session
Here's the deal: each round, you roll the dice to see how productive your town is. Then, the decision is yours: will you gather more resources, spend what you have to improve buildings, or embark on a quest? But beware, because random events can pop up at any moment, and some come with an attack on your town! If you're not prepared, the damage is certain.
The goal is to make it to the final round with your town intact and fulfill the secret objective you rolled at the start. It's a mix of building, management, and a bit of luck with the dice rolls, with a touch of low-key fantasy. The game's writing is quite immersive, transporting you to this world where every decision counts. If you enjoy solo games that challenge you to think and create, Penciltown is a unique experience for those not afraid to get their hands (and pencils!) dirty.
