About the game
What you do in a play session
Rolling Village is a 10‑minute roll‑&‑write that puts you in charge of a village, drawing houses, forests, lakes and squares with just a pencil and a pair of dice. At the start of each round, one player rolls two dice and everyone sees the same combination. Each face indicates a type of project that must be drawn in the column corresponding to the value of the other die – in other words, if you roll 4 and 6, you place a type‑4 project in column 6 and a type‑6 project in column 4. When the round ends, the sum of the dice determines the “active avenue”: the row where you can score. You check if any of the projects you drew are on that row; if they are, the entire adjacent group of the same type scores. Points are added at the end of each turn and, after nine rounds, each player’s total determines the winner. The game is ultra‑quick, perfect for a “break‑time” session with family or for those who enjoy logic and luck challenges in a few minutes. Components are minimal – just two dice and a sheet of paper per player – making it an excellent print‑and‑play for those with little space or who want something light. The roll‑and‑write mechanic ensures every decision is fast yet strategic, as you must choose where to place each project to maximize the chance of scoring on the avenues that will appear. If you love building cities, dealing with randomness, and want something quick and portable, Rolling Village has everything you need.
