Hey everyone! Ready for a dose of poison... in a good way, of course! In "Poison" (also known as "Friday the 13th" or "Baker's Dozen"), the goal is to avoid drowning in cards. The table features cauldrons that fill up, and whoever takes cards from them gets penalized. The more cards you accumulate, the worse your score, unless you're clever and manage to grab the majority of a specific suit. Then, you can get rid of them! Each round, you receive a hand of cards with values from 1 to 7, divided into three suits, plus a joker suit with a value of 4. On your turn, you play a card onto its corresponding pile (or any pile if it's a joker). If the sum of the cards in the pile exceeds 13, congratulations, you have to take them all! The round ends when all cards have been played. Then comes the moment of truth: whoever has the most cards of each suit gets rid of them. Those left with fewer cards of each suit receive penalty points for each. Jokers are worth 2 penalty points. The player with the fewest points at the end wins! It’s a quick, strategic game perfect for those who enjoy a challenge with a touch of luck and plenty of hand management.
