About the game
What you do in a play session
In Porot (Finnish for 'reindeer', pronounced PAW-rot), you journey to Lapland, Finland’s northernmost region, for reindeer spotting. These reindeer glow in the colors of the Northern Lights, and your goal is to spot the specific hues you're after. Each turn, players place their meeples on a 5x5 grid, advance their hiker pawn along the score track, and use bonus actions to form patterns with the reindeer. The score track affects what you can do each turn, so timing is key. Players can cooperate with one other player by building patterns together, but don't help them too much—only one player can win by returning to their home cabin. The game blends strategy, luck, and a bit of diplomacy, all set against a stunning Nordic nature-inspired backdrop.
