About the game
Ever imagined a trick-taking game where potatoes are the stars and traditional logic is thrown out the window? In Potato Man, you enter a frantic point-scoring battle where being 'the biggest' isn't always the best strategy. The dynamics here are intriguing: in each trick, each card color can only be played once. This means that, unlike other games of the genre, you don't have to follow the lead player's suit; in fact, you are forbidden from repeating a color that has already hit the table. Whoever plays the highest card usually wins, but there's a crucial twist: the three lowest cards of the yellow color (the Potato Man himself) can defeat the three most powerful cards of the red color. It's the classic 'David vs. Goliath' in tuber form!

The strategy gets interesting during the scoring phase. Each color has its own deck of scoring cards. The red color has the strongest cards to win the trick, but the scoring rewards are the lowest. Conversely, the yellow color is weaker but pays better. The real game-changer happens when the scoring cards of a specific color run out: whoever wins the next trick takes the golden 'joker' card, which holds the highest point value in the game. The challenge is managing your hand so you don't run out of options, as the round ends immediately if a player cannot play a card due to the color restrictions. The game lasts for several rounds (based on the number of players), and whoever tallies the most points at the end is the champion. It's a light, fast-paced game with a touch of humor that makes the competition delightful, perfect for those who want something strategic without burning their brain cells for hours.
