In Prey Another Day, big predators like wolves and bears chase smaller prey – mice, owls and lynxes – but the nimbleness of the weaker animals can turn the tables. Each player controls a hand of five animals and, each round, simultaneously selects which one will go hunting. The stronger animals arrive first at the target, securing the capture, while the weaker ones arrive later but award more food points. The goal is to be the first to gather five food markers and claim the title of munch king. The game unfolds over multiple rounds, and after each round players refresh their animal pool, allowing new combos of strength and scoring potential. Simultaneous action selection creates tense moments as you try to guess who will send the most powerful predator and who will gamble on scoring higher with weaker critters. Player elimination is present: anyone without animals at the end of a round is out, speeding up the pace and keeping the game tight.
