Ever heard of that crazy physics experiment? Well, Schrödinger's Cats brings all that quantum chaos straight to your table, but with one major advantage: nobody has to deal with actual radiation or endangered kittens! Instead, you'll step into the role of an eccentric cat physicist—like Albert Felinestein or Sally Prride—on a mission to uncover the mystery of the boxes. Your goal is simple yet intense: deduce the exact number of live cats, dead cats, or empty boxes scattered throughout the lab.
The gameplay revolves around intense betting and bluffing rounds. Each player starts with a hand of cards and must make a claim about the cards in play. The next player can either accept the claim and increase the number or challenge it with a 'call'. If you're right—whether you were making the claim or challenging it—you stay in the game; if you're wrong, you're out! The eliminated player leaves the round, and the game continues with fewer players and shrinking hands of cards.
The secret sauce is the special character abilities. Once per game, you can trigger a unique power to manipulate the situation to your advantage, helping you prove your hypothesis or debunk a rival's. It's a fast-paced deduction game, perfect for those who love a good bluff and want a session that's quicker than a coffee break. If you enjoy snappy card games with a cute theme and high-stakes mechanics, get ready to find out if your cat is alive, dead, or if you're even still in the game!
