Welcome to the year 2849! Humanity has unlocked the secrets of pulsars, and now the challenge is to distribute this cosmic energy throughout the universe. In Pulsar 2849, a strategic Eurogame, you and your friends embark on a space journey to explore, claim pulsars, and develop incredible technologies that will boost energy distribution infrastructure on a galactic scale. Get ready for an intense eight-round adventure where every decision counts!
At the start of each round, dice are rolled and organized by value, forming a pool from which players will 'draft' to perform their actions. And what actions are these? You can pilot your survey ship to explore the unknown, develop pulsars to generate more energy, build transmission vectors to expand your network, patent revolutionary technologies, or even activate special projects in your HQ. The beauty of Pulsar 2849 is that there are multiple paths to victory, allowing you to chart your own course to success.
In addition to scoring points each round for what you've explored and discovered, all players have common goals to achieve, adding an extra layer of strategy. At the end of the game, the player with the most victory points is crowned the master of cosmic energy. With a clever mix of dice rolling and drafting, point-to-point movement, and worker placement with dice workers, Pulsar 2849 offers a rich and challenging experience for those who enjoy a good space challenge.
