About the game
What you do in a play session
Push is a fast, light card game that puts your daring to the test – without making you break a sweat. Each match lasts about 20 to 25 minutes and supports 2 to 6 players, making it perfect for a quick break or a casual game night. The goal is to build stacks of cards that yield the highest total score, but there’s a twist: no stack may contain a repeated color or number. You receive cards in five colors (red, blue, yellow, green, purple), numbered 1‑6, with three copies of each number, for a total of 90 colored cards, plus 18 roll cards and 12 switch cards that spice up the flow. In each round you decide whether to keep adding cards to the stacks, risking a higher sum, or to stop and lock in the stack with the best current total. This “push your luck” decision creates a fun tension, because every card played reduces your options and the chance of getting stuck without a legal move rises. The game blends Dice Rolling (via roll cards), Open Drafting (all cards are visible and players pick in order) and, of course, Push Your Luck. Components are solid: cards are Magic/Pokémon sized (about 63 × 89 mm) for easy handling, and the coloured dice add a pleasant visual flair. Rules are straightforward – you’re up and playing in under five minutes. With a light weight (1.04/5) and a BGG rating of 6.79, Push appeals to fans of card games that feature a risk element but don’t demand deep deck‑building. It’s ideal for groups that enjoy short rounds, quick decisions, and a dash of adrenaline.
