Each turn, you both draw two tiles from a face-down pile and add them to the board. These tiles feature a mix of rats, empty crates, and the spices you and your opponent aim to group. Each player has four types of spices in their color, and the trick is to form the largest possible groups. The game uses a chip-based scoring system where forming groups of two matching spices earns one point, and groups of three or more are worth two points. But beware! If three rats of your color are visible at the end of your turn, it's an instant loss.

The real brilliance of Rat Hot lies in tile placement. Tiles can be stacked, but never exactly on top of each other, always with a slight offset.
